			<title>About Paul Mitchell</title>
			<link>http://www.paulmitchell.us/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=12</link>
<description>&amp;ldquo; It&amp;rsquo;s time for people to take back our government.&amp;rdquo;Tired of seeing political posers scurry about, changing their opinions as frequently as their clothes, Paul Mitchell finally declared enough is enough. While many are content to sit back in the comfort of their own lives and believe nothing and no one can ever change Washington, Paul Mitchell says, &amp;ldquo; It can start with me.&amp;rdquo;Born under the broad, blue (and sometimes brown) skies of Lubbock, Texas, Mitchell is the son of a PGA golf pro. His father oversaw many golf courses during Paul&amp;rsquo;s youth, leading him through an interesting childhood as he sampled life in Texas, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. He returned to Texas to finish school and go on to UT at Arlington and then Texas Tech University.Always an industrious youth, Paul formed his own lawn care company, Grassco, while in college. He later held the Sebastian, hair products, distributorship in Midland, Texas. His career matured into professional sales. Mitchell left West Texas and settled in the Houston area in 2001, making Sugarland his permanent home.Paul Mitchell comes from a family strong in both love and commitment. Though Mitchell has never been married, he firmly believes that healthy family structure is the underpinning that holds our country together. &amp;ldquo;I&amp;rsquo;ve grown up watching the greatest example of a loving marriage,&amp;rdquo; he says, referring to his parents who have been happily married for almost fifty years. He attends Quail Valley Church, as do his parents, where his father is a Deacon. In general, Paul Mitchell is just a regular guy who works too hard, eats too much and pays too many bills&amp;hellip; just like everyone else. So what makes him qualified for such an esteemed position as a United States Representative? Answer: all the things that make him just like you. How many people running for congress have had one more bill than their paycheck would cover? Or wondered what they needed to cut from their lifestyle to afford gas in their car, heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer?Looking through Mitchell&amp;rsquo;s life, pouring over every triumph and disappointment, left not the impression of an elitist, someone born and raised, primped and primed for politics, but just the opposite. Paul Mitchell has carried all the worries and burdens that normal citizens face, which gives him a closer bond to normal people than any other politician can claim. He cares about the things that affect real people in their every day lives. What does set him apart, is his willingness to draw back the veil of complacency and become an active part in fixing the mess politicians have made of our government.Platform:Paul Mitchell is a true conservative, unlike many politicians wearing a Republican tube top with their liberal flip-flops. He has taken the time to watch, listen and learn the facts regarding the issues we looked to our federal government to resolve. As a result, he has been able to form legitimate opinions on real issues.</description>
